FAQ

Ask us anything

NRSWA stands for the New Roads and Street Works Act. This legislation governs all work carried out on public highways in the UK. NRSWA training ensures that workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform street works safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the law.

Anyone who works on the highway, including operatives, supervisors, and managers, needs appropriate NRSWA training. This includes anyone involved in excavation, reinstatement, traffic management, or working near underground services.

NRSWA training courses are divided into units, covering specific areas of work. The most common units include excavation, reinstatement, traffic management, and signage. There are also specialist courses for working in confined spaces, cable avoidance, and working near underground services.

NRSWA qualifications typically last for five years. After this period, you will need to take a refresher course to renew your qualifications.

Yes, ABS Solutions can tailor NRSWA training courses to meet the specific needs of your workforce. We can create bespoke courses that focus on the specific units and skills relevant to your projects, ensuring your team receives the most effective and relevant training.
