Angela Reed

Head of Streetworks

Angela leads the Streetworks department at ABS, bringing over 16 years of experience in the field. Her extensive expertise encompasses Electric, Water, Gas, Telecoms, and both Residential and Industrial/Commercial Developments, enabling her to effectively navigate complex projects and regulatory requirements.

Having collaborated with Highway Authorities, Statutory Undertakers, contractors, and sub-contractors, Angela has developed a comprehensive understanding of Streetworks legislation and management.
 
At ABS, Angela is recognised for her dedication and professionalism, making her a trusted resource for clients seeking reliable solutions. She is committed to fostering a high-performance culture within her team, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

Michelle Pickford

Streetworks & Planning Team Leader

Michelle has built a solid foundation in team leadership and project management. Her background in training and development has equipped Michelle  with the skills to effectively guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.  

Michelle is  dedicated to achieving both ABS  & Client  goals while promoting continuous improvement and professional growth within the team. Her approach combines strategic planning with hands-on support, enabling ABS to tackle challenges head-on and deliver exceptional results.

Since joining  the Street Works Department at ABS, I have transitioned from an administration background to a leadership role, becoming a team leader due to my dedication and hard work. I pride myself on being conscientious, proactive, and responsible, thriving in a dynamic environment where no two days are alike.

Streetworks & Planning Team Leader

Gary started with ABS as a Streetworks Administrator, however it soon became evident that Gary was destined to be a Team Leader within the Streetworks Department. Gary engages with the team and ensures that everyone fully understands requirements and is always willing to rise to the challenge and exceed targets set.
 
ABS – Street works  has been a wonderful change from Gary’s previous career, which consisted of working 16 years in retail, Gary only wishes he’d moved to Streetworks much earlier…

Liz Rosling

Streetworks & Training Director

Our Streetworks and Training Director, Liz Rosling, heads up our Streetworks department at ABS. With over 16 years’ experience in Streetworks; working with Highway Authorities, Statutory Undertakers, contractors and sub-contractors, Liz has a strong and professional background in the management of all aspects of Streetworks legislation.

At ABS, we take pride in the people behind our company and Liz is one of our most trusted leading professionals, and a firm favourite amongst clients who regularly rely on our services. Liz has a proven track-record in handling process management with efficiency in reducing charges and vastly improving Streetworks performance in all areas. With confidence and proficiency, she has developed and supported on many Streetworks Systems, and continues to train Staff at a City & Guilds level on the correct legislative procedures under Streetworks.

Melanie Lee

Streetworks Trainer 

Mel is a recent addition to the team, an experienced street works professional bringing over 22 years of experience in the utilities industry, working for both utilities and their partners across a wide range of street works operations, working closely with highway authorities throughout.
 
In her role, she’s responsible for delivering our award winning 2 x day City & Guilds Street works Legislation and administration Training along with bespoke Training specific to your needs. She has a broad range of street works knowledge from administration and the application of legislation, through the operations and management of street works and associated performance. Mel has then taken this knowledge to align and support commercial elements giving her a full end to end understanding of the impact of street works and all the associated costs.

Ken Simpson

Streetworks Trainer

Ken is our newest addition to the Training team, an experienced and qualified Street Works professional who has been heavily involved in managing and improving compliance in line with legislative requirements. A highly knowledgeable individual, who has a great understanding of all areas of Street Works.
 
In his role he will be using his knowledge to support in the delivery of our accredited training from EUSR, CABWI & City & Guilds. Ken trains and supports  all things operationally street works. Passionate about helping others he is committed to building on his previous experience training and coaching teams who work on site and ensuring safety and competence, passing on his knowledge and experience to others who have come into the industry and to support organisations in improving and maintaining their levels of compliance.
